Cherokee Slang - There are many language classes taught which provide a sound basis for mastery of the Cherokee Language, however, most modern courses do not teach common Cherokee Slang expressions which are unique to the culture and have evolved as local dialects within Cherokee communities across the United States. This article preserves some of the jewels of the Cherokee Language not normally heard or spoken outside of Cherokee Communities.
Cherokee society - Cherokee society refers to the society and culture of the Cherokee (or ah-ni-yv-wi-ya in Cherokee) people. The Cherokee are a people native to North America who at the time of European contact in the 16th century inhabited what is now the eastern and southeastern United States before most were forcefully moved to the Ozark Plateau.
Meals on Wheels - Meals on Wheels is the typical name for programs that deliver meals to homebound individuals who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals, and it is often used to generically refer to home-delivered meals programs, not all of which are actually named "Meals on Wheels." In addition to providing nutrition to sustain the health of a client, a meal delivery by a Meals on Wheels driver or volunteer also serves a safety check and source of companionship for the client.
